Swire Shipping to expand coverage in Tasmania

Swire Shipping to expand coverage in Tasmania
Swire Shipping will expand its multipurpose liner service coverage in Tasmania, Australia with an additional port call to Hobart from November.

The enhanced network will see a nine-day frequency connecting Melbourne to Hobart with a transit time of one day, and link Hobart to Sydney and Brisbane with transit times of two and five days, respectively.

Swire Shipping, the liner shipping division of The China Navigation Company (CNCo), added that the network will connect Hobart to global destinations such as Asia, Europe, the Pacific Islands and the US through transhipment services.

“We have been working closely with our partners to develop this service and are confident that the Tasmanian industry will benefit from the shipping options for international and domestic cargo,” said Bordie Stevens, country manager for Swire Shipping in Australia.
