Tanjung Offshore hauled up by Malaysian anti-graft body
Tanjung Offshore said it is continuing to co-operate with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in an ongoing inquiry, local reports said.

The group said in a statement released today that the company received a request for more information from the MACC, and has fully complied.

"Tanjung Offshore’s own internal inquiry by the independent committee is also proceeding as mandated by the board of directors earlier this month.

"The company to date has not received an official complaint from any shareholder on any matter," Tanjung Offshore said.

The group added that without a specific complaint to focus on, the independent committee has no choice but to conduct a broader review of recent developments."However, Tanjung Offshore is determined to complete the internal inquiry as per its mandate to ensure full transparency and accountability to its shareholders, in particular its minority shareholders," it said.

A highly publicised deal for Tanjung Offshore to do a reverse takeover of the offshore supply vessel assets of Bourbon's Asian unit fell apart at the end of last year, reportedly over declining oil prices and the inability to meet certain conditions.
