Thome is effectively doubling the size of its agency business, which is currently active in Thailand and Singapore. Thome Ship Agency in the Philippines will be in the group’s regional headquarters in Manila, with satellite offices in Cebu and Ilo Ilo. The Indonesian ship agency will be based out the same office in Jakarta as Timur Ship Management.
“The opening of the Philippines and Indonesia ship agency offices adds substantially to our portfolio of services and our clients can depend on us to provide high quality, cost effective agency services in this region,” said Claes Eek Thorstensen, president of Thome Group.
Singapore-headquartered Thome is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and is primarily known for its ship management business.
