Due to start operations on 1 September 2013, Milestone Chemical Tankers (Milestone) will be established in Singapore as an equal joint venture between Tokyo Marine and Jo Tankers with full responsibility for the fleet's commercial management.
Milestone will manage 63 vessels, 52 from Tokyo Marine and 11 from Jo tankers, and will have offices in Bergen, London and Houston.
Yoichi Aoki, managing director of Tokyo Marine will be ceo of Milestone while Egil Giertsen, managing director of Jo Tankers will be coo of the new venture.
