T-Bridge boasts an augmented reality system, which helps a bridge crew get the full navigational picture “quickly, precisely and with high reliability”, said Christopher Schröder, business development manger, mega yacht market, Transas. They see a true picture of the waters through which they are navigating, overlaid with the necessary and relevant navigational information.
The goal of T-Bridge is to bring together all the relevant data for clear presentation and usability. Flexible configurations allow for easy changes in the scope of equipment without considerable redesign and can include bespoke systems and customised development if required.
Schröder told Sea Asia Today that T-Bridge was first shown in Europe in September 2014. Since then, Transas has installed the system on a mega yacht.
Now at Sea Asia, T-Bridge is showcasing the system’s capabilities to the Asian market. Schröder said that the company was targeting the commercial navigation market, which would be the core market for T-Bridge.
