The 276 sq m pavillion showcases the products and services of 13 Singapore-based companies as well as Singapore's pivotal role as a global marine and offshore hub. Among the exhibitors are the country's leading marine groups - Keppel Offshore & Marine and SembCorp Marine.
Speaking to Seatrade Maritime News, SembCorp Marine's deputy president Ong Poh Kwee said that the company was at the exhibition because Norway is a major market for Singapore. Ong also pointed to the close ties the two countries have.
Another exhibitor at Nor-Shipping is offshore shipbroking and marine consutancy firm M3 Marine Group. Ceo Mike Meade said it is the first time the company is at the Norwegian mega maritime event.
He added that the company had decided to be an exhibitor because it has many Norwegian customers.
