Two more former senior ST Marine officials charged for corruption
Two former senior employees of ST Marine were charged in the State Courts of Singapore on Wednesday for corruption, the company announced.

The charges followed a length investigation carried out by Singapore’s Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) on the company since September 2011.

Han Yew Kwang, the chief operating officer of ST Marine from June 2002 to 2007, before leaving in June 2014 as executive vice president (shipbuilding), was charged with eight counts of corruption.

Tan Mong Seng, the president (commercial business) of ST Marine from January 2000, before leaving in June 2002 as chief operating officer/president (commercial business), was charged with one count of corruption.

ST Marine, the marine arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering (ST Engineering), last month also announced that another employee Patrick Lee, the former group chief financial officer from January 2001 to March 2007, was charged under the Penal Code.

In December last year, four former employees were also charged, namely former president See Leong Teck, former president Chang Cheow Teck, and former senior vice president (Tuas yard) Mok Kim Whang, and former group financial controller and senior vice president (finance) Ong Tek Liam.
