Wan Mashitah appointed MMHE boss from 1 Jan
MISC's heavy engineering unit Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE) has confirmed the full appointment of Wan Mashitah Wan Abdullah Sani as its new md and ceo with effect from 1 January 2017.

MMHE said in a stock market announcement that Wan Mashitah, 50, who has been the acting ceo since 1 May 2016 after the resignation of former md and ceo Abu Fitri Abdul Jalil while also concurrently serving as cfo, would also cease to be its cfo from the date.Wan Mashitah joined MISC in 2002 and served in various capacities there, with her last position there being general manager (finance).

She was then appointed as MMHE cfo on 30 June, 2010, and assumed the post of acting ceo earlier this year after the 30 April resignation of Abu Fitri, who had been called back into service at national oil company Petronas, the ultimate parent of MMHE.

In a separate announcement, MMHE also said it has appointed Hazrin Hatim, 44, as acting cfo pending the appointment of a new cfo. On MMHE's website, Hazrin is listed as covering cfo.

Hazrin joined MMHE in 2012 and has extensive experience in the financial sector, with his previous position being cfo of tech and HR firm Pestariang in 2009.
