World's largest boxship MSC Oscar calls in Malaysia
The world’s largest containership MSC Oscar called at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia on Tuesday.

The 19,224 teu vessel owned by Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) called at PTP on its maiden voyage from Yantian, China to Europe.
PTP Chief Executive Officer Glen Hilton said the port was already equipped to handle mega size vessels. The port already handles Maersk Line's 18,000 teu triple E boxships.

"Today we are proud that she is already servicing customers on our new East West trade route," said YJ Tan, MSC's Managing Director for Asia Regional Office and SEA Agencies.

"Thanks to our strong partnerships with our terminal partners PTP who provides modern and sophisticated port facilities I am confident that we will continue to raise the bar on quality shipping services for customers in Southeast Asia region in the future."
