Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant bags self-jack up offshore platform order

Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), has signed contract with PowerChina Huadong Engineering Corporation Limited to construct a 55-metres deep water self-jack up exploration platform.

The platform will be used for offshore wind power project construction and marine hydrogeological survey, equipped with electric power system and two sets of auxiliary cranes.

This contract is important for Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant to develop offshore exploration and wind power markets, said the company.

Wuhan Marine Machinery Plant, is a major supplier and service provider for special marine equipment in China, and is capable to manufacture the equipment for various kinds of ocean-going and offshore vessels. The company had already delivered 13 offshore platforms.
