The Antwerp office, Bomin Belgium BVBA, will operate the 2009-built, 3,500-metric tonne capacity bunker tanker Vantage, which is equipped with the mass flow meter.
Bomin said it will offer a range of products including bunker fuel 380 cst, ultra low sulphur fuel and 0.1% maximum sulphur fuel. Physical deliveries will be available in Antwerp, Ghent, Zelzate, Flushing and Terneuzen.
“Antwerp is one of the major ports in the world, and it is critical that we have a strong physical presence here to support our customers and our global network,” said Jan Christensen, regional manager, Northwest Europe, of Bomin.
Bomin said the expansion into Antwerp is in line with the company’s “ambitious plans for growth throughout 2015”, and is the fourth new bunkering operation for Bomin this year.
Bomin had launched new operations in Denmark’s Copenhagen, Far East Russia’s Nakhodka, and Germany’s Rostock in April, May and July, respectively.
