Mortensen assumes the role of non-executive chairman at StormGeo with immediate effect taking over from outgoing chairman Jonas Persson.
He brings with him top executive level experience at BW, Norden and AP Moller – Maersk, as well as being a strong advocate of digitalisation and sustainable business practises in shipping.
Mortensen said, “StormGeo is an exciting company that operates at the forefront of global megatrends, such as climate change, digitalisation and increasing regulations.”
He stood down as ceo of Singapore-headquartered shipowner BW in September last year.
