Clyde & Co opens up in Hamburg with team from Ince & Co

Maritime law firm Clyde & Co is opening an office in Hamburg hiring four partners from rival Ince & Co.

Clyde & Co is hiring four partners – Daniel Jones, Volker Lucke, Tim Schommer and Eckehard Volz – from Ince & Co who worked for major German and Scandinavian shipowners and P&I Clubs. The Hamburg office will be Clyde & Co’s second in Germany.

“With the hiring of this team we've added one of the top marine groups in Germany and secured a strong presence in a key European shipping hub, which is a major centre for owners, operators, trading houses and marine insurers,” said Andrew Preston, partner with Clyde & Co.

“They are a very close knit team and differentiate themselves from their competitors in Germany and northern Europe thanks to the diversity of their service offering across the sector and associated fields."

The law firm opened its first German office in Dusseldorf 18 months ago.
