DIS subsidiary d'Amico Tankers has signed a Memorandum of Agreement to sell the 2006-built, 48,700 dwt High Prosperity to an undisclosed buyer. d'Amico Tankers will time charter the vessel from the buyer for six years at what it described as a “competitive rate”.
DIS said the deal would have a $6.9m net cash positive effect for its tanker arm
The sale of High Prosperity is in line with DIS’ long term strategy of maintaining a young owned fleet, through the replacement of some of our older vessels with the newbuildings we have ordered in the recent years,” said Marco Fiori, ceo of DIS.
