Entries are now open for the 31st edition of the prestigious Seatrade Awards – which this year return to London’s iconic Guildhall and will include a Parliamentary-style debate for all interested attendees, followed by a reception and lavish dinner.

Judged by an expert panel of industry thought-leaders, these Awards give companies the chance to tell their success stories to a global audience, regardless of size, through the maritime and shipping  industry’s most prestigious honours programme.

Seatrade Awards will this year feature twelve awards, including;

  • Safety at Sea
  • Clean Shipping
  • Investment in People
  • Digital Technology Award
  • Cyber Security Award
  • Fuel Efficiency Award
  • Deal of the Year
  • Young Person of the Year
  • Integration of Women in the Maritime Sector – NEW
  • Global Performer
  • Personality of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award

Entering for a Seatrade Award enables companies to share their successes: some of last year’s stories included MedAssist.online, winners of Safety at Sea; aqua-tools, winners of Clean Shipping and Dr Ravi K. Mehrotra, CBE, Executive Chairman, Foresight Group for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Take a look at 2018’s roll of honour here.

Chris Hayman, Chairman of Seatrade, said “The 2019 Seatrade Awards offer a global platform for companies achieving excellence in the shipping and maritime industries to come together to inspire the markets with their pioneering spirit. The Awards provide ever higher benchmarks in recognising achievement in leadership and innovation.”

“We encourage companies in these sectors to nominate and wish them all good luck during the process. We have the largest assembled panel of expert judges ever, and we look forward to seeing you all at London’s Guildhall on 7th May” continued Mr Hayman.

The Seatrade Awards offer categories that suit companies of all sizes and disciplines such as the Fuel Efficiency Award, right through to the Digital Technology Award. This year’s programme also introduces a new category – ‘Integration of Women in the Maritime Sector,’ which recognises the inspirational leadership and achievements of the industry’s leading women.

Bob Jaques, Editor, Seatrade Maritime Review, fellow organisers of the Awards added: “Following on from last year’s successful awards ceremony in 2018, we look forward to continue recognising and celebrating flourishing companies of all shapes and sizes from across the globe, which are helping drive growth for the maritime and shipping sectors.”

Nominations for the Seatrade Awards close on Friday 1st March. The shortlist will be announced in April and the winners will be revealed at the Seatrade Awards ceremony on the evening of Tuesday 7th May at London’s prestigious Guildhall (Dress code: Business attire).
