The International Maritime Organization (IMO) in collaboration with Norway has launched a major project support its strategy to cut shipping’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 50% by 2050.

Swire Shipping will introduce a new Pacific Islands service and upgrade its multipurpose liner network to key markets in Asia Pacific.

The Pacific Islands have described progress on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at the IMO as “alarmingly slow” and too slow to save many island nations.
