Ultrabulk starts MPP service with team from Copenship
Ultrabulk is moving into the multipurpose (MPP) market with a team from bankrupt Copenship.

The Danish shipping company is launching a new MPP service connecting Europe and Africa starting immediately. The service will be run by a team from Copenship headed up by Joergen Larsen.

“Our experience with Africa has been built up over the last couple of decades, and I am very pleased that we will be able to develop and further enhance the service, under the Ultrabulk umbrella,” Larsen said.

Along with the new service Ultrabulk aims to increase its focus on smaller bulk cargoes in the 10,000 – 20,000 tonne range.

“I am very pleased that we are able to welcome Jørgen and his team under the Ultrabulk banner, they bring with them significant experience in the field of parcelling and liner service, which we today do not have at Ultrabulk,” said Per Lange, ceo of Ultrabulk.
