Sue Terpilowski elected as new WISTA-UK president

Sue Terpilowski elected as new WISTA-UK president
The Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association UK (WISTA-UK) has announced a changing of the guard recnetly, naming Sue Terpilowski, as its new president.

Actively involved with the maritime industry for over 30 years, Terpilowski has for the last eight years served as London policy chairman for the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), receiving an OBE last year for her efforts in lobbying to protect various small businesses in London.

The WISTA-UK president is also md of specialist maritime, logistics and supply chain communications agency Image Line Communications, since founding the company 27 years ago. She takes the place of outgoing president Maria Dixon, head of ISM Shipping Solutions, which specialises in Panama Flag issues. Dixon served six years as president after being elected in 2008 and, after widespread commendation on her successful leadership, was re-elected in 2011.

“WISTA-UK owes a great deal to Maria,” Terpilowski said. “Her energy and commitment in getting WISTA-UK firmly ensconced in the international maritime arena has been truly invaluable so on behalf of WISTA-UK I’d like to extend my warmest thanks for all the work she has done over the past six years.”

Seatrade Global wishes Terpilowski all the best.
