The satellite centre, to be managed by Australian-headquartered reefer servicing operator IRS International (IRSI), is located in the Jebel Ali Freezone (Jafaz) on the doorstep of the region’s largest port, DP World Jebel Ali.
Daikin Reefer has previously relied on shipping spare parts to its 20 authorised repairers dotted around the 15 main ports of the Middle East. The Dubai centre comes in response to customer demand and is designed to cut delivery costs and improve the supply chain across the region including Egypt as well as at the key Horn of Africa port in Djibouti.

Daikin Transportation and Refrigeration Systems Division (Daikin Reefer) is a wholly-owned division of Daikin Industries Ltd and a leading supplier of refrigeration equipment to the global container industry.
Its “Active CA” system is designed to slow the aging process that perishable products undergo during transit, enabling them to be transported for longer periods and extending shelf life at port of destination.
