The service will deploy three ships between 1,200 teu and 1,800 teu, with the first departure to leave from Algeciras on 20 July . The route will call at Lagos (Tincan Island), Cotonou in Benin, then Lome, Togo before the return leg to Algeciras.
While the existing WAF service calls at Lagos’ Apapa Terminal, the new loop will double Evergreen’s service frequency to Nigeria, and connect it to Benin and Togo, in addition to Ghana and the Ivory Coast already served by WAF.Â
WAF2 is designed to supplement the efficiency of the transhipment operation at Algericas, linking into Evergreen Line’s extensive network in Europe, the Far East and the rest of the world.Â
