New advisory panel named for Seatrade ShipTech Middle East 2019

Seatrade Maritime team has brought together experts from a leading provider of professional services for engineering and technology, a crude oil tanker company, a world-class shipping, offshore logistics and onshore services provider and marine transport provider, to form the Advisory Panel for the Seatrade ShipTech Middle East 2019 conference.

The Seatrade ShipTech Middle East, to be held on 23-24 September 2019, will provide an essential platform for debate on what the future looks like for the maritime industry.

The Advisory Panel, which includes Talal A. Bakheet, Former Acting President, Vela International Marine Ltd.; Zahid Rahman CEng, MIMarEST, Chief Executive Officer, Faras Al Bahr Consultancy Services; Capt. Mohamed Al Ali, Senior Vice President, Ship Management, ADNOC Logistics & Services; Capt. Tony Field, Vice President, Middle East & Africa, Marine & Offshore, Lloyd’s Register and Ali Abduljalil Shehab, Acting Chief Executive Officer, Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC), will be instrumental in helping to position the event as the knowledge hub of technological advancements for the shipping sector.

Joining these members will be Chris Hayman, Chairman, Seatrade, who has been involved in the development of the Seatrade brand since 1986. With over 30 years of industry knowledge, Chris makes the perfect addition to the Advisory Panel.

Hayman added: “I’ve seen the impressive progress that ShipTech Middle East has been making since its launch in 2008, and so I’m delighted to be able to get involved with this new chapter now that Seatrade has taken the reins of this important event.

Seatrade ShipTech Middle East 2019 takes place on 23-24 September 2019 at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai as part of UAE Maritime Week, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council.
