Classification society Bureau Veritas (BV) has issued the world’s first AiP certificate of marine liquid hydrogen fuel tank to China’s Zhangjiagang Furui CIT.

The first issuance of the BV Marine Liquid Hydrogen Fuel Tank AiP Certificate means that Furui and BV Group are at the forefront of the world in the trillion-dollar track of jointly entering the world marine hydrogen energy market, said BV.

The certification is a phased achievement of Furui’s marine hydrogen business, which is also a milestone of R&D for this kind of ships and developing clean energy supporting production. 

Jennifer Zhang, General Manager of BV Marine & Offshore Division of China, said, “To be the leader of clean energy industry chain equipment and solution provider, Furui has contributed great efforts to Green Development, Zero Carbon Emissions by relying on their own strengthen and their responsibility has won widespread praise from the industry. The certificate indicates that Furui fully own the independent design capability of marine liquid hydrogen fuel tanks.”

Zhangjiagang Furui CIT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Zhangjiagang Special Equipment, specializing in the whole industry chain products and services of liquefaction storage, transportation and application of natural gas.
