Kuehne + Nagel deploys electric vehicle fleet in Singapore

Alternative fuels are making their way into the logistics sector with Kuehne + Nagel has rolled out a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs).

The fleet of zero emission EVs has been deployed for deliveries in Singapore and provide customers with environmentally friendly transportation option that reduces the carbon footprint.

HUB Distributors is the logistics company's EV partner.

Laurent Simon, md of Kuehne + Nagel Singapore and Malaysia, said, “We are proud to use EVs to reduce carbon emissions. This initiative aligns with the Singapore’s government vision of an environmentally-friendly and self-sustainable transportation infrastructure while positioning us as a leader in Green logistics.

The need to dramatically reduce emissions from ocean shipping is also firmly on the agenda globally and Norway is already looking to zero emission shipping.
