"Big data has the potential to be transformational, which means it has to be a priority," according to ABS executive vice president of corporate energy development Ken Richardson.
Richardson, who will be moderating the Offshore Marine Forum at Sea Asia 2015 said leveraging big data could lead to better life cycle management for offshore assets and streamline the classification process.
"Finding a way to harness big data is vital to the future. Investing in R&D is the most effective way to cultivate innovation," he added.
ABS is also exhibiting at Sea Asia [B2- E01] and holding a series of daily presentations.
