DHT Holdings completes Samco Shipholding acquisition

DHT Holdings completes Samco Shipholding acquisition
DHT Holdings has completed its takeover of Samco Shipholding for $317.5m.

New York-listed DHT said on Tuesday it had closed the transaction to but all the shares in Samco Shipholding and its fleet of seven VLCCs

DHT is funding the acquisition through a $150m stock offering and $150m private bond placement, both of which also closed on Tuesday, and cash on hand.

Following the acquisition DHT will have a fleet of 20 VLCC, including six on order, two suezmaxes and two aframaxes.
