The Singapore-listed firm said it had received the LOI from a Southeast Asian national oil firm and the contract would run for five years.
To fulfill the contract Ezion said it would be ordering an additional service rig to join its fleet, which it expected to be deployed by the first quarter of 2015.
The rig will be funded by redeemable exchangeable preference shares and bank borrowings.
