Hamburg Sud launches Peru - Philadelphia service for fresh fruit season
Hamburg Sud is launching a seasonal service for the fresh fruit season between Peru and Philadelphia in the US.

The service between Peruvian port of Paita and Philadelphia will run from November 2017 till February next year launching just in time for the mango and grape season in South America.

The service will have a transit time of nine days, and also provides connections through the transhipment hub of Cartagena.

“The USA is one of the world’s largest mango importers,” said Frank Smet, member of the executive board for Hamburg Süd. “With the fast transit time and a fleet of state-of-the-art reefer equipment, Hamburg Süd offers its customers a tailor-made best-in-class product that caters to the strong demand for these fruits in the US market.”
