ISS said Hyldager decided to step down on Tuesday, and was now on gardening leave. He had worked at ISS for 20 years, the last nine as ceo.
“The board noted that during this time Captain Claus Hyldager developed a global footprint and grew the business to a true multinational market leader in maritime and cargo services which has helped establish a solid foundation for ISS's future,” the company said.
Current cfo Chris Whiteside has been appointed as interim ceo.
