Japan container line merger ONE starts taking bookings

Japanese container line merger Ocean Network Express (ONE) has started to accept bookings from today, two months ahead of the joint venture’s launch.

ONE, a joint venture of the container lines of NYK, Mitsui OSK Lines, and K Line, will launch on 1 April, and is starting to accept bookings in stages from 1 February.

When ONE starts business operations on 1 April, for a transitional period for companies will be operating. These will be the joint venture ONE, and the existing three individual lines until they completely stop operating their own vessels.

To help ensure customers book on the correct operator to online guides have been launched “Booking Ownership Guide” and “Vessel Voyage Direction List”.

Singapore-headquartered ONE will be the world’s sixth largest container line once it starts operations.
