M3nergy looking as far as Gulf of Mexico for prospects
Malaysia's M3nergy, while positive about exploration and production (E&P) activities in Southeast Asia and its home market in particular, has set its sights on projects further afield as far as the Gulf of Mexico for expansion, local reports said.

Managing director and ceo Shahrazi Sha’ari said M3nergy was also looking at oil fields in Vietnam and Indonesia and that there were opportunities coming up in the region.

“We are looking at opportunities in Vietnam and Indonesia. We have also been invited to participate in projects in the Gulf of Mexico,” he said.

Shahrazi added that there should also be more opportunities in the domestic market, with Petronas leading the way in coming up with more drilling activities in Malaysian waters. “It should be a good opportunity for players like us. The domestic market is buoyant and we have to position ourselves accordingly.”
