The Port of Long Beach tweeted a picture of three striking ONE containers stacked around a rather more grey looking old Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) box, saying the containers had arrived just in time for Valentine’s Day.
“The colourful containers belong to a new consolidated company, formed from Japanese lines K Line, Mitsui OSK, & NYK Line, & have been arriving at our ITS terminal on Pier G,” the port tweeted.
ONE has caused a stir with its striking magenta branding which is far removed from the muted blue, grey and green colours normally associated with shipping branding.
In keeping with the strong branding ONE ceo Jeremy Nixon was sporting a magenta tie at last week’s Singapore Shipping Association Chinese New Year cocktail reception.
Headquartered in Singapore ONE officially starts operations on 1 April.
