The draught re 13.11m (43.0 feet) Tropical Fresh Water (TFW) for vessels transiting the neo-panamax locks and 11.73m (38.5 feet) TFW for vessels transiting the panamax locks, scheduled to be effective 19 June 2019 is being postponed until 26 June 2019.
Additional rainfall in the Panama Canal watershed during the past week has allowed the ACP to further postpone the effective date of the sixth draught restriction.
As a result, the maximum authorised draught allowed of 13.41m (44.0 feet) TFW for vessels transiting the neo-panamax locks and 12.04m (39.5 feet) TFW for vessels transiting the panamax locks will remain in effect until 25 June 2019.
The ACP will continue to monitor the level of Gatun Lake and announce future draft adjustments in a timely manner.
