The list of nine type-4500 PSVs and 14 type-750 oil spill response vessels (OSRVs) are to be constructed by Brazilian yards Detroit, Estaleiro Ilha, Estaleiros Rio Negro (Erin) and Intecnial Taquari, meeting 60% local content requirements.
Whilst confirming the orders, Petrobras announced that round five of the fleet renewal plan, adding a further 24 OSVs to the orderbook, will be launched in July 2013, fulfilling its target of contracting 146 vessels to be built in Brazil by 2014.
