The contract for the Petrojarl Varg FPSO includes detailed engineering, fabrication, installation and integration of the topside process skid; overhauling of existing internal turret and power generation; and repair and life extension of the vessel’s hull, tanks and various systems onboard.
To be deployed in Cheviot field in the UK North Sea the Petrojarl Varg FPSO will be operated by Alpha Petroleum Resource.

The $166m contract is pending Alpha Petroleum Resources finalising debt facilities and approval from the authorities for its Cheviot field development plan.
The work on the FPSO at Sembmarine is expected to be completed in July 2020.
