As the debate on how best to comply with the 2020 0.5% global sulphur cap for marine fuel, the order by the Blystad Group company represents a strong vote for scrubbers, which have only been chosen by a limited number of shipowners to date.
CROE will fit the scrubbers to the 14 Songa Shipmanagement vessels through summer 2018 to late 2020. CROE said that due to the small size of its system it can be retrofitted to existing vessels.

Songa Shipmanagement has a fleet of 32 vessels, and has options for an additional five scrubbers from CROE in addition the firm order for 14 systems.
