ZIM pairs up with Hapag Lloyd for Med-US services
ZIM is collaborating with G6 partner Hapag Lloyd to restructure its service offering between the Mediterranean and United States, in an effort to improve transit times.  

More calls are set to be added to the line’s Container Service Atlantic (ZCA) which runs from the East and West Mediterranean the East coast of the US.

Further changes include a new call at ZIM’s hub in Kingston, Jamaica, on the Med-Gulf Express (MGX) service, which leaves from Cagliari and calls at Salerno, Livorno, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Kingston, Vera Cruz, Altamira, Houston and New Orleans before returning to Cagliari.

Meanwhile the Med-Pacific Service (MPS) connecting the Med and US West coast will rotate between Tangier, Valencia, Cagliari, Livorno, Genoa, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Los Angeles, and Oakland before returning to Tangier.

Previously, the company announced that it would be teaming up with other members of the G6 alliance on services between Asia and the US.
