Mumbai: ABG Shipyard (pictured) has signed a 10.3bn rupee ($232m) contract to build 12 vessels for Singapore based Pacific First Shipping (PFS). The ships, which are to be built at ABG's Dahej shipyard, are all due for delivery by December 2009. Three of the vessels will be dry bulk carriers of 54,000dwt each, while the other nine will be anchor handling tug vessels. A spokesperson for the company stated that the first delivery is scheduled for early next year. [18/01/07]
