Sydney: Chevron has signed an agreement to supply Japanese utility Kyushu Electric Power with liquefied natural gas (LNG) from its Gorgon and Wheatstone projects in Australia.
Kyushu Electric Power will receive 0.3m t/y of LNG from Gorgon for 15 years and 0.7m t/y from Wheatstone for 20 years. It will gain a further 0.1m t/y if it buys as planned a 1.83% stake in Wheatstone.
