Apeejay Shipping buys secondhand panamax bulker
Kolkata-based Apeejay Shipping has purchased a 74,107-dwt secondhand panamax bulk carrier, bringing its fleet size to a modest four vessels with a total capacity of 441,416 dwt.

The 2001 Japanese-built gearless panamax has been renamed Apj Uma Kismat from its previous name Cretan Wave.

Financial details of the vessel purchase were not disclosed.

“The newly acquired panamax, Apj Uma Kismat, has traded internationally for 16 years and is a strategic buy for the company as its focuses on continuous growth,” Apeejay Shipping stated.
