Bandar Abbas port changes name to Shahid Rajaee SEZ

Tehran: Effective from July 22, Iran's Bandar Abbas port now requires ship cargo documents (manifest & B/lading copy) to mention the discharge port as Shahid Rajaee Special Economic Zone (Shahid Rajaee SEZ), according to the announcement made by the country's related ministry. Operators are now "checking at the site" on the details of such modification, such as the background of the name change and the entailing changes related to documentation.

Bandar Abbas port has two new and old container terminals (CT), with the new terminal named Shahid Rajaee SEZ and the old one named Bahonar.  [24/7/08]
