Berlian Laju Tankers secures VLGC charter

Indonesia: Berlian Laju Tankers has bagged a $90m contract for the charter of a Very Large Gas Carrier to Indonesia state oil and gas firm Pertamina. Singapore and Jakarta-listed BLT is to acquire the 1991-built, 78,543 cbm vessel Commander N to service the contract with Pertamina. The contract will is for a period of up to seven years and worth around $90m. BLT plans to reflag the Commander N to the Indonesian Registry, which it said was in line with its commitment to Indonesia's cabotage laws. [19/01/10]
