Bernhard Schulte HK hits 50 vessels under full management mark
Leading ship manager Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) has hit the milestone of operating 50 fully managed vessels from its centre in Hong Kong with the handover of Interlink’s MV Priority.

BSM Hong Kong has achieved a remarkable performance, increasing its fully managed fleet by five times in less than five years, from just 10 vessels in early 2011 to hit the 50-ship mark, while maintaining its portfolio of crew managed vessels.

“For BSM Hong Kong to reach the landmark figure of 50 vessels under full management within such a short period of time is a remarkable and impressive achievement. This year alone has seen the addition of 18 vessels to the Hong Kong fleet,” said BSM ceo Norbert Aschmann.

BSM Hong Kong md Firoze Mirza noted the trust of BSM’s customers, adding: “Customer testimonials reveal these vessel handovers have all been executed flawlessly, with continuous efficient management during the operation. The competence of our seafarers on board these vessels combined with the expertise and support from the involved shore-based teams of BSM, have been instrumental to this achievement.”

As one of BSM’s very first full service centres for its customers incorporated in 1981, BSM Hong Kong is ideally placed to take advantage of the country’s key role as a global maritime centre.
