Mumbai: The world's biggest private shipping organisation BIMCO held a seminar focused on key elements of its Standard Newbuilding Contract NEWBUILDCON in Mumbai on Tuesday. Benefits highlighted include new clauses not found in other forms including the Clauses on Green Passport Statement of Compliance and Protective Coatings.
Delegates were also able to attend a BIMCO 39 Knowledge Seminar, which covered emerging trends and opportunities in India's maritime sector.
Amongst those present at event were Philip Embiricos, BIMCO president; Robert Lorenz-Meyer, president designate; John Tsatsas, chairman of the documentary committee and Yudhishthir Khatau, committee member and md of Varun Shipping. [06/03/08]
