Mumbai: Design, engineering and risk management consultancy BMT has set up a new subsidiary BMT Consultants (India), headed by Suren Vakil, to offer technical and project management services to the Indian ports and logistics sector, which it describes as a burgeoning market. BMT has already undertaken a series of projects in India including a feasibility study for Kulpi Port and current advisory work for both Shell, at its planned port at Hazira, and the Adani Group. BMT Asia Pacific has established offices in Singapore and Hong Kong and recently opened in Shanghai. [24/10/06]
