Body recovered from capsized barge off Singapore
Divers have recovered a body from the Mongolian-flagged barge that capsized in Singapore Strait on 24 July.

The Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said that divers recovered a body from the Guo Liang 77 on Sunday, 28 July. Search and rescue operations for eight crew missing in the accident have been ongoing since the accident took place.

The owner of the barge Gold Stone Marine was reported to be making arrangements for the body to be sent to Malaysia. Seven of the 10 crew members remain missing.

As of 1900 hours on 28 July the MPA said search and rescue operations had involved a total of two Super Puma helicopters and two Fokker-50 Maritime Patrol Aircraft from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), five patrol vessels from the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), five Police Coast Guard (PCG) patrol craft, divers and three diving support vessels, and 146 passing commercial vessels.
