Busan Port tells liners port dues can be paid late

Busan: In its latest bid to shore up traffic, the Busan Port Authority will allow regular customers to delay paying their port fees. BPA is extending the so called 'grace period' to hel the lines through the recession. The scheme will run from 1 November, 2009 to 31 October, 2010 and will let liners delay paying port entry, dockage and anchorage fees.
BPA President Roh Ki Tae said liners could pay the fees in monthly installments in a one-year period from November 1, 2010.?''In case of further times of crisis continuing beyond this timeframe, the BPA has a contingency plan to review the situation and consider extending the grace period,'' the port authority said.  [12/10/09]
