Hong Kong: Dry bulk specialist KC Maritime has restructured its team in Hong Kong with the appointment of Captain Vikrant Bhatia as its new ceo beginning April 1. Captain Bhatia previously held a senior position at Valles Steamship Limited and, in his new role, takes over from Gautam Chellaram, who is leaving the company on April 10 to set up a new venture under the KC Group umbrella.
The transition between the two will be aided by KC Maritime founding ceo Sunder Mansukhani who has rejoined the company from retirement on a temporary basis till September 2008. The company has also recently appointed Captain Dheeraj Pahuja as chartering and operations manager
KC Maritime has an owned fleet comprising Panamax bulk carriers, Handymax bulk carriers, Handysize bulk carrieries and cement self unloading bulk carriers. It is also active in the marine bulk materials handling project sector. [08/04/08]
