Shanghai: China's largest inland river shipping company, the China Changjiang National Shipping Corporation, has announced that it plans to spend 300m yuan ($39.9m) to expand annual capacity at its subsidiary Changhang Dongfeng Shipping Company's Chongqing premises. Upon completion of the work the yard will be able to construct eight vessels per year of up to 10,000dwt each. The yard currently boasts an order book of 48 vessels valued at about $4.6bn yuan ($612.9m). [08/10/07]
