China Classification Society shares new technology applications
China Classification Society (CCS) has organised a seminar on smart new ship technology during Marintec China 2015 on Wednesday, attracting delegates interested to know more about the new aspects of shipping technology.

Speakers from CCS shared on intelligent marine technology applications that aim to help ship operations reduce harmful air emissions and monitor emission levels, as well as software solutions for operational efficiency.

Some of the software solutions discussed include the Compass-Walcs-le/NE software mainly used for all types of ships computational analysis of linear/non-linear motion and wave loads, and the impact of flutter to wave loads and structural strength of large vessels.

The seminar also touched on LNG refueling ship specifications and ship-to-ship fuel transfer technology.
