China’s anti-corruption inspection team investigates CSSC
China’s central anti-corruption inspection team has uncovered corrupted practices in state-owned conglomerate China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

In a working brief, the anti-corruption team, led by Liu Zu, said the corruption activities centred largely around the procurement department of CSSC, where illegal means of obtaining favours and bribes were discovered.

The team also disclosed that some senior officials of the company were alleged to have been involved in malpractices and investigations are going on.

Liu made recommendations in the working brief on how CSSC can tackle the corruption issue going forward, and urged the group to focus on transparency and to cooperation with the relevant authorities for investigations.
